About Us
The Arts Council is a non-profit organization aiding in programming functions according to the needs of the community, and searching for and acting as a registry for potential local talent, aiding in its development and recognition.
The Arts Council also takes pride in providing quality performances, including music, comedy and drama, for the community and schools.
Watch for advertisements on our notice board at 122 Main Street and in the Carberry News Express Classifieds/Community Calendar sections for notices of classes, workshops or special events.
Our funding comes from various contributors through applied grants. Our primary funding comes from Manitoba Culture, Heritage, Tourism and Sport. Other funding arrives from the Town of Carberry and the Rural Municipality of North Cypress. Other groups assisting with our programs and performances are: Manitoba Arts Council, Manitoba Arts Network, Community Foundations and private donations. Fees for programs are returned to the council to reimburse expenses.
