TYSON UNRAU - DRUMS

Hi my name is Tyson Unrau.

Musical Education :

-    21 year old Drummer from MacGregor, Manitoba.
-    Started playing Drums at the age of 10.
-    Took lessons from a number of drummers in the area.
-    At age 15 I started taking formal drum lessons from Ben Reimer, of   the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.

-    At age 16 I drove to Quebec city to take lessons at the Wizdom Drumshed, with Stephane Chamberland.
-    After high school graduation, I went to Brandon University, for one year, where I studied as a music student, majoring in classical percussion.
-    After that year, I traveled back and forth between here and Quebec city at the Wizdom Drumshed, with Stephane Chamberland, doing an intensive study program.
-    I have also studied with Drummer Mitch Dorge, of The Crash Test Dummies!

That's a bit about my education, as a drummer, as you can see when I started to get deeper, into my craft, I didn't really have anywhere in the area that I could learn, so I had to travel lots of different places to study, with good teachers. This is the reason I am interested in teaching in the rural Manitoba, and so that I can offer a resource for students to learn. In my travels and studying with all the great teachers that I have had, I have learned so much and I just want to share it.

I am fluent in all styles of music, Jazz, Funk, Rock, Latin etc and can design a personal program for each student according to there interests and needs.
